We've all read the stories and heard the facts on how easy it is to perform article marketing. It's as simple as finding a few highly searched, less competitive keywords and implementing them into a useful article. But no, not just one article, we're talking around three to four.
And then it's also suggest to include an affiliate link in the article.
Am I saying this practice is wrong and is not easy to do. I'd be lying if I said such a thing but the catch here is choosing the right keywords. Sure some would cringe when they hear the saying "affiliate traffic" but in reality it doesn't have to be a nightmare.
Article marketing is really not considered a method of marketing from my perspective. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and many would disagree with me but it really isn't. You could write an article and promote a product or service, but are you going to get affiliate traffic because you wrote on. I doubt it highly.
The end result, gaining affiliate traffic from search engines.
I wrote a similar write up to this not too long ago but instead of promoting solely to search engines in this article, I want to name off three other methods to gaining affiliate traffic.
First is pay-per-click marketing, or better known as PPC marketing. This form of marketing allows you to market a product or service based on designated keywords. You would then pay for every time your ad copy is clicked on. This can range from a few pennies to a few dollars, depending once again on what keyword was chosen.
This is a prime source of affiliate traffic and if used correctly can be a big time money maker.
Second is word of mouth. Sometimes, we all network with many different users and what better way to market a affiliate product or service then to provide those interested with a website to check out.
Sure gaining affiliate traffic this way is a traffic when you have an affiliate URL, but who says you can't buy a small domain (possibly a .info domain) and re-direct it to the affiliate URL. You should be catching my drift here. Plus, many people like Ezine Articles would allow it in your resource box of your article as opposed to where they will NOT allow affiliate URL's straight out.
Lastly is a review page. People are always looking for products and services based on reviews. They want the most bang for their buck and I don't think I need to explain much here. Getting affiliate traffic with a review site is self-explanatory.
So the next time your in need of affiliate traffic, consider the above mentions and you just might be on your way to affiliate profit heaven. Good luck.
