Affiliate Program Tips - How to Get a Stampede of Affiliates Promoting Your Product

Something every digital product owner needs to know is how to build an army of responsive affiliates who promote your products. Simply put, having a huge affiliate force promoting your products is like having a sales machine that is whirring for 24 hours a day, inundating you with sales and profits!

Here are 5 tips to get a stampede of affiliates promoting your product:

1. Make your affiliate program as attractive as possible. Give out high commissions (at least 50%, up to 75%) and try to allow to affiliates to profit on your up-sells and down-sells too, not just the main product.

2. Contact super affiliates. The quality of your affiliates is just as important, if not more important, than how many affiliates you have. Having just one super affiliate with a huge responsive list promoting your product can result in thousands of dollars in sales!

3. List your product at affiliate marketplaces. Some places to include your product in include Clickbank and Pay Dot Com. Clickbank in particular has a large affiliate base that you can tap on.

4. Create a 'buzz' product. If your product is 'hype worthy', you will naturally get a lot of affiliates on board to promote your product! Heavily market your product and make sure it has a killer angle to hook in affiliates and buyers in.

5. Set up an affiliate contest. Contests bring out the competitive instinct in people, especially when the prices are attractive. Consider giving out cash prizes, music players, and even television sets for your top affiliates if it justifies the cost.
